WorkTime can work in a client-server mode when all data from client computers is saved to the server database.
This feature simplifies gathering data and viewing reports for different computers in your the network.

Main features
Collect data from the local network workstations
View reports on the server workstation
Compare usage of different workstations
Offline mode

Local network - collecting data

WorkTime can work in a client-server mode collecting data form the local network workstations to the server database. Server database should be located on the server workstation (server workstation is a computer in your local network).

To setup WorkTime for a client-server work, complete these steps: How to setup WorkTime to work in a client-server mode.
To define network database, open WorkTime Options window and select Settings|Database (See Options - Database).

Local network - viewing reports

If running WorkTime in a client-server mode, you can check usage of the workstations in your local network right from your server computer.

To view reports from the server computer, run WorkTime on the server computer, open Reports window (See Main Menu, Main Window) and generate reports (See Reports, How to use Reports).

Compare usage of different workstations

Using comparison and filters functions you can compare usage of any workstations in your local network (See Reports, How to use Reports).

Offline mode

Offline mode is very useful if some of your employees use laptops and not always have connection to your server database when working. Offline mode is "responsible" for delivering accurate data to the server database if there was no network connection to the server workstation (See Offline Mode, Options - Database, Options - General, Main Window).

To activate Comparison function, open Reports window, select Report Calendar and click Compare to... tool-button. Now you can select comparison filters using Filter tool-buttons and Filter drop-down lists (See How to use Reports).
